Thursday morning Heather Clair showcased the latest technological advancements by SaskTel at a breakfast presentation. The remainder of the day was devoted to curated meetings, allowing participants to connect with key players in the Agriculture ecosystem.

On Friday, we embarked on an enlightening journey at the Livestock and Forage Centre of Excellence. Our tour took us through the cow/calf barn and operations, providing us with valuable insights into their meticulous processes. We also had the opportunity to explore the feed lot and examine various research plots. Shelby Robinson, an exceptional M. Sc. Candidate, shared her expertise on the innovative practices employed at LFCE, shedding light on their purpose and effectiveness. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Shelby for graciously introducing our international participants to the LFCE.

What an incredible week it has been, filled with knowledge, connections, and unforgettable experiences.

Our next stop took us further north to Foth Dairy, where Geoff Foth generously shared insights into the technology powering their rotary dairy system. Witnessing the remarkable efficiency of this system was truly captivating. During our tour, we had the opportunity to explore the barns and gain an understanding of the carefully selected feed provided to the cows. Engaging in discussions about reproduction management with the team was enlightening, as they graciously shared their expertise. To conclude our visit, we observed their crops and learned about their effective use of irrigation on the farm. We extend our sincerest appreciation to Geoff and Mel for their warm hospitality.

As the day drew to a close, we made our way to JRG Farms, a remarkable grain farm located near Hague, Sk. The Navigate participants were filled with excitement at the sight of the diverse array of equipment employed on the farm. Josh Lade, accompanied by Rayden Wiebe, graciously showcased their sprayer, even extending the booms for a closer look. Their wealth of knowledge and experience shone through as they explained the rationale behind their chosen farming practices and innovative approaches.

It was an exhilarating day filled with new discoveries and fruitful discussions. We extend our heartfelt thanks to Josh and Rayden for generously sharing their insights and making our visit to JRG Farms a memorable one.

The rest of the evening was filled with outdoor games and a bit of competitiveness from Federico Guelpa and Grayson Berting in a heated game of spike ball (which Grayson won).

Over the weekend the we showed the participants a bit of Saskatchewan with a kayak on the river and a day trip to Waskesiu where Andrei Grespan was able to see an elk!
