GAAP is a privately operated agri-food incubator looking for cutting-edge technologies from rapid-growth companies seeking to improve efficiency, sustainability and profitability within the global agriculture and food sector.
About GAAP
The Global Agri-Food Advancement Partnership (GAAP) was founded in 2019 when Ag-West Bio, the Global Institute for Food Security (GIFS), the Saskatchewan Food Industry Development Centre, and Innovation Saskatchewan came together to fill a critical gap in the agri-food innovation ecosystem.

GAAP was built on a simple but powerful idea — that many agri-food start-ups have groundbreaking innovations but need support navigating the path from concept to commercialization. That’s where GAAP comes in.

We help early-stage companies overcome the unique challenges of growing in the agri-food sector — from high upfront costs for specialized equipment and long development timelines, to complex regulatory pathways and scaling hurdles.

Our facility provides entrepreneurs with access to essential resources such as lab and office space, specialized equipment, and greenhouse facilities — helping them focus on innovation rather than infrastructure.

By bridging these gaps, GAAP strengthens Saskatchewan’s agri-food ecosystem, attracts top talent and investment, and accelerates innovation — enabling companies to bring their products to market faster and more efficiently.
